"aralan" is a Philippine word to mean " a place to learn. aralan@ netdesk is the digital address to realize the 21st century digital citizenship of all educators in basic education.

This is an open training and knowledge exchange social network to realize the strategic challenge in the educational sector on how to bring about competency building on ICT and e-citizenship of all teachers and administrators anywhere, anytime, and in any access device..

It advocates the promotion of core ICT competencies that allows educators to perform and share in any operating platforms like Microsoft, Macintosh and Open Source

The aralan@netdesk opens the free Internet knowledge-base, web applications, and computer software to build the digital competency of educators based on globally accepted competency standards and technology environment.
